Architectural design services for the reconstruction of a 2,200sf house significantly damaged by fire.

This single story 1,500 sq ft. ranch style house in a stable and desirable community was remodeled into a two story 4,000 sq ft home. Design features in eat-in kitchen with large island and separate freezer and cooler, master bedroom suite, in-law suite, Jack and Jill bathrooms, and fireplace. The client is the general contractor.

This budget kitchen renovation included new solid surface countertops, undercounter lighting, downlights, natural slate backsplash and refinished cabinets and cabinet hardware.

This kitchen renovation was the first of two renovations completed by KDA for this couple in their historic 1,500 sq ft Capitol Hill home. The finished kitchen included soapstone countertops, custom maple cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and a garden window to let in lots of sunlight.

A highly detailed 2,550 sq ft home in a historic area was renovated into 3,350 sq ft which included a kitchen remodel, master suite remodel with wet sauna, rebuilt exterior rear deck, and lowering the basement fl oor by 8 inches to add a separate new apartment unit.

“The client for this project was a family including an octogenarian couple who has lived in the home for over forty years. A poorly constructed rear addition was demolished, and a new addition was designed by KDA to include two full bathrooms, a kitchen, master bedroom, wrap around porch and covered patio. A new kitchen with center island includes a range with retractable exhaust fan to keep the living area open. The design and construction was completed on a tight schedule and came in within budget.”

KDA provided architectural interior design services for this project involvding the renovation of Pastor’s Study and Administration Areas as well as design of an all new multi-purpose chapel space.
